The Provost of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR), Prof. Dason Awunyo-Vitor, has met with student leaders to discuss issues affecting academic and student life within the college.

The meeting provided a platform for student representatives to share feedback on teaching and learning, facilities, and other matters that impact their academic experience.

The Provost reiterated the importance of open communication between students and college authorities, encouraging students to channel their concerns through the appropriate structures.

β€œSo, if you have any concern, the Dean is there. You have your Heads of Department. You can immediately tell them so that we can address it,” he said.

β€œLet us know as early as possible. If you cannot come to us, you can talk to your class representatives, and they will quickly bring it to our attention,” he added.

Prof. Awunyo-Vitor also emphasized the need for continuous dialogue and proposed that such engagements be held regularly.

β€œI want this to be a regular monthly meeting because I don’t want us to wait until something happens before we begin to figure things out. All the feedback is important for our planning purposes going forward,” he stated.

The engagement was interactive, with both management and student leaders exchanging ideas aimed at improving communication and strengthening collaboration between students and the college administration.

The Dean of the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources, Prof. Emmanuel Acheampong, and the College Registrar, Mr. Charles Asamoah Boateng, were also present to support the discussion and provide administrative perspectives on issues raised by the students.
