Welcome to the College of Agric & Natural Resources

On behalf of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR), I welcome you to take a tour of our website to experience what we offer as a College.  The CANR is one of the six colleges of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and we have a student population of approximately 4,000 and a total staff strength of 265 made up of 113 Senior Members, 76 senior staff and 7 Junior staff.  Although the CANR represents the “youngest” and the smallest in terms of student numbers, we pride ourselves in being the most proficient and overall top grant and research award winners at KNUST and this is reflected in our profiles and prolific scientific publications. We have a mandate to offer tertiary education, training and research in agriculture, natural resources management and for rural and entrepreneurship development. We encourage participatory and interdisciplinary team research and we train our students to acquire entrepreneurial skills as they go through their programs.
