Mr. Frederick Amissah Chief Executive Officer of Universal Hospital Group, has presented a cash award to the 2025 Overall Best Graduating Student of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR), Mr. Richard Kitcher in recognition of his outstanding academic performance.
The presentation fulfils a pledge Mr. Amissah made during the 59th Congregation of the University, where he delivered a motivational address as an alumnus of the College.

In his address, he committed to supporting academic excellence and student development within CANR as a way of giving back to the institution that shaped his professional journey.
Beyond the award to the overall best graduating student, Mr. Amissah also donated additional funds earmarked to support needy but brilliant students of the College, reinforcing his commitment to inclusivity and equal access to educational opportunities.
Mr. Amissah expressed hope that the gesture would inspire graduates to set higher goals, pursue excellence, and fully realise their potential.
Preparations are underway to establish a mentorship initiative through which two of the best graduating students will be mentored, aimed at guiding them in their academic, professional, and
personal development.
Presenting the awards on behalf of the donor were the Provost of the College, Prof. Dadson Awunyo-Vitor; the College Registrar, Mr. Charles Asamoah Boateng; Prof. Collins Nsor-Ayine; and Dr. Daniel Ernest Kwaku Addo Siaw.
