BIRD-KNUST to organize a multi-stakeholder workshop on Greater Kumasi landscape

The Bureau of Integrated Rural Development (BIRD) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), in collaboration with PBL Netherlands Environment Assessment Agency, will organize a 2–day multi-stakeholder workshop to develop a shared vision for the Greater Kumasi landscape.

The event, which is slated for 28th – 29th October, 2021 at the Noda Hotel, Fumesua, Kumasi is expected to be attended by visitation with some identified key stakeholders from urban planning, environment, agriculture, and land management sectors. The focus of the workshop is to increase awareness, share insights and identify strategies and shared stakeholders’ ambitions for the Kumasi landscape that stimulate collaboration.

The workshop further intends to explore strategies for achieving the shared ambitions in context of the 2030 sustainable development goals (SDG’s) and the role of nature and biodiversity.
