People often get lost despite asking for directions from various individuals on the street, leading to lateness, delays, or even absenteeism, which affects our daily lives. To address this, signage boards are essential for easy navigation, providing information, and giving directions.
To enhance the visibility of the Faculty of Agriculture, the Faculty Students Association has erected a new sign at the main entrance of the building. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the provost of the College of Agriculture, Prof. Awunyo Vitor, praised the Students Association for their initiative and encouraged them to advise their successors to continue this practice.
"Personally, there have been times when I directed people to the Faculty of Agriculture and they still get lost. So, this signage you have mounted is a step in the right direction. Let us educate the rest of the students to understand that when they come to school, they should not only take but also give back. This is a very commendable gesture, and we appreciate it," said Prof. Vitor.
Prof. Enoch Adjei Osekre, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, expressed gratitude for the students' kind action and their contribution to the Faculty's exposure.
"I have always encouraged the students to leave something behind as a reminder of their time here. Fortunately, they had this idea, and now it is a reality. Today we are here to unveil it. On behalf of the Faculty, I thank you very much; this has indeed enhanced our visibility."
The president of the Faculty of Agriculture Students Association, Raymond Owusu Yeboah, stated that this project has been a long-standing dream since they assumed office. "We are here to unveil this signage today, marking one of the best achievements during our tenure. This is the first time our Faculty has something like this, and we are proud to have accomplished it."
