Graduate students enrolled in the Scientific Writing and Communication course demonstrated their scientific communication skills during a practical examination held at the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources.
This hands-on assessment, a core component of the course, featured both poster and PowerPoint presentations designed to evaluate students' ability to effectively convey scientific information, an essential skill for professionals and researchers in the fields of agriculture and natural resources.
As part of the exercise, students presented either their research proposals or ongoing projects, with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and audience engagement across both formats.
The presentations covered a wide range of topics, including sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and innovations in natural resource management.
Faculty members served as assessors, providing constructive feedback and engaging students in insightful discussions.
Dr. Benjamin Apraku Gyampoh, the course coordinator, praised the students for their dedication and highlighted the importance of such practical experiences in preparing them for real-world academic and professional communication settings, including conferences, stakeholder engagements, and scientific publications.
Participants expressed their appreciation for the opportunity, noting that the exercise boosted their confidence and enhanced their presentation and communication techniques.
