The Provost of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR), Prof. Dadson Awunyo-Vitor, has received a delegation from Wynca Sunshine, one of China’s most prominent multinational companies and a key player in Ghana’s agricultural sector.

The visit marked the beginning of a partnership between the College and the company, aimed at creating meaningful opportunities for students.

As part of the collaboration, Wynca Sunshine will offer internship and employment opportunities to students from the College, thereby supporting hands-on training and career development.

To further commemorate the partnership, an Internship Plaque is scheduled to be unveiled next month, followed by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), underscoring the long-term commitment to student development and enhanced industry-academic collaboration.

Prof. Awunyo-Vitor expressed his excitement about the initiative, describing it as a strategic step toward enhancing student employability and fostering international cooperation.

The Wynca Sunshine delegation was led by Prof. Su Zibo, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at KNUST.

Also present was Mr. Zhu Tao, General Manager of Wynca Sunshine, along with team members Mr. Gao Xiang and Ms. Xu Duo. Prof. Gao Zijuan, a Chinese language instructor at the Confucius Institute, also joined the meeting in support of the engagement.

This collaboration is expected to deepen ties between academia and industry, while expanding academic and professional pathways for both students and professionals.
