A Senior Lecturer of the Department of Forest Resources Technology, KNUST, and a vibrant Natural Resource and Environmental Sustainability Scientist. He holds a PhD. in Climate Change and Land use from the KNUST, under the West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL). He joined the University in 2008 and has over 15 years of experience in teaching, research and extension of knowledge in natural resource and environmental issues.
His research interests and expertise span the human-environment interface with emphasis on GIS and remote sensing applications in natural resource management, land use / land cover dynamics, climate change, climate-smart agriculture, ecosystems services and resilience, and carbon modelling, bioenergy resources and biodiversity conservation, REDD+, carbon accounting and net zero carbon emission, soil trace gas flux assessment, soil and water quality monitoring (trace elements), forests and landscape restoration and management, and sustainable rural livelihoods.
He is a member of the Ghana Science Association and General Secretary of the Ghana Institute of Foresters. He is assertive, assiduous, trustworthy and result-oriented person and an excellent team player. He operates within the unique interphase of research and development, where he uses his knowledge and expertise in natural resources and environment to transform society through research, knowledge mobilization and dissemination to bring about interventions particularly at the local level to sustain the livelihood of resource-poor communities in Ghana.
