To enhance their proficiency in online teaching, a three-day refresher training workshop was organized for selected members of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR).
This initiative was undertaken in response to a request from the College Board, which proposed a "trainer-of-trainers" workshop for some nominated faculty members following an earlier university-wide faculty training conducted by the KNUST E-Learning Centre.
The Board identified time constraints as a limitation of the previous training and recommended an additional session to provide participants with a more in-depth understanding of key aspects of online education.
As a result, this refresher workshop was designed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of online teaching methodologies, effective item writing, and seamless navigation of the University’s upgraded Learning Management System (LMS).
At the end of the training, participants will receive a Certified Trainer’s Certificate, recognizing their competence in facilitating Online Computer-Based Examinations and Virtual Classroom interactions.
They will assume the role of E-learning Ambassadors within their respective departments, where they will be responsible for sharing their knowledge and offering further training to their colleagues.
