Brief Story

Mr. Solomon Panford, College Registrar (College of Agriculture and Natural Resources), obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Graphic Design) in 1991 at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. He went on to complete his Master of Education  in 1994 at the University of University of Manchester, Manchester, UK. Solomon Panford has several years of experience in Graphic Design and Materials Development. His areas of interest include Design and Development of Visual / Audiovisual Materials for Communication interventions, theory and Practice of Communication (Mass and Micro Media), corporate branding and general Media/Public Relations and Public awareness and education campaigns.  He has specialized skills in local and district level manpower capacity building.  He has acquired excellent managerial and administrative skills and experience through working with a number of government and non-government organizations and institutions.  He has a couple of papers presented at local and International Conferences to his credit.

  • 2001 - Designed brochures for Micro SMART: a Micro credit project implemented by CARE International, Ghana.
  • 1999 - Designed Rates Card for TV Fontomfrom, Kumasi.
  • 1997 - Designed and produced an information booklet on hypertension for Palb Pharmacy, Kumasi.

1996 - 1998 Developed visual aids and illustrations for the Schools Sanitation Project and the Small Towns Water Project on the Community Water and Sanitation Programme.
1995 - Produced and recorded Educational messages on AIDS onto audio cassette for the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA); directed a group of school kids to perform a drama on Malaria for the Malaria awareness month; developed a set of pictures on community animation for the Centre for the Development of People (CEDEP).

  • 1994 - Co-Produced a promotional video on “Methodist International House” (Student’s Hostel), Manchester, UK;
